Branson, Missouri has been one of America's favorite family vacation destinations for decades — and it just keeps getting better. Nestled in the Ozark Mountains along the shores of Table Rock Lake, this charming city packs an incredible amount of fun into a surprisingly accessible package.
Whether it's your first time visiting or your twentieth (we have guests who've been coming back for years!), here's our local guide to making the most of your family trip.
Theme Parks and Attractions
Silver Dollar City is the crown jewel of Branson. This 1880s-themed park has world-class coasters, artisan craft demonstrations, seasonal festivals, and the brand-new Fire in the Hole indoor ride. Plan for at least a full day here.
White Water is Silver Dollar City's waterpark and perfect for hot summer days. With giant slides, a wave pool, and lazy river, it's a hit with kids and adults alike.
Fritz's Adventure is unique to Branson — an indoor/outdoor adventure park with climbing, tunnels, and exploration zones that will tire out even the most energetic kids.
On the Lake
Table Rock Lake is the reason many of our guests keep coming back. With over 800 miles of shoreline, the lake offers boating, fishing, swimming, jet skiing, and kayaking.
Moonshine Beach is a beautiful public swim beach with sandy shores — perfect for families with young children.
State Park Marina is just minutes from most of our properties and rents pontoons, ski boats, jet skis, and kayaks. A day on the lake is a must.
Pro tip: Many of our vacation homes have lake views, lakefront access, or even private boat docks. Ask us which properties are best for lake lovers!
Shows and Entertainment
Branson is the live entertainment capital of the world, and that's no exaggeration. From Broadway-scale productions at Sight & Sound Theatres to the high-energy dinner experience at Dolly Parton's Stampede, there's a show for every taste.
Don't miss the Showboat Branson Belle, a dinner cruise on Table Rock Lake that combines great food with live entertainment and stunning views.
Nature and Outdoors
Beyond the lake, the Ozarks offer incredible natural beauty. Dogwood Canyon Nature Park is a 10,000-acre preserve with trout fishing, horseback riding, and waterfall hikes. Top of the Rock offers the Lost Canyon Cave trail and some of the best views in the region.
Shopping and Dining
Branson Landing is a waterfront shopping and dining district along Lake Taneycomo with over 100 shops and restaurants. The fountain show at the landing is free and a must-see.
